  • ” How does the agency select employees? How do they test knowledge and skills? Are background and reference checks done? Back to Questions
  • Oxford has a thorough process to ensure they hire skilled, knowledgeable and caring employees who appreciate being able to work with clients on a one-on-one basis. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
  1. Undergo a physical examination and TB test
  2. Show proof of certification or license, current CPR certification
  3. Demonstrate knowledge and skills through extensive testing
  4. Oxford then does thorough background checks—Previous employer references, DMV, Social Security and criminal records
  5. An in depth orientation Is given to maintain Oxford’s high quality of care
  6. The very last step at Oxford is to ask ourselves – “Is this someone we would send out to take care of our own family member”?

  • Oxford does not require a commitment or contract. You sign a Client Agreement, which confirms the rates quoted. Oxford only asks that service cancellations be made at least 4 hours prior to the start of care.

  • Oxford guarantees their caregivers and nurses – Oxford will replace a caregiver / nurse anytime your expectations are not met. If you notify Oxford immediately, you will not pay for service that does not meet your expectations.
